Snowy Mountains Summer Activities

Khancoban – The best kept secret in the snowy mountains!

Outdoor activities are varied and in abundance, from the simple pleasures of bush walking or horse riding in the unspoiled alpine wilderness to the thrills of white water rafting on the “Mighty Murray”. According to the experts, riding the Murray during the spring snow melts is the equal of the world’s best “white water”.

In addition, the lake and rivers provide some of the best trout fishing in mainland Australia. If you’ve left your rod at home, you may hire one at our caravan park.

Drive the spectacular Alpine Way, a 108 km stretch of road between Jindabyne and Khancoban winding through the alpine scenery of Kosciuszko National Park. The fully sealed road offers a fabulous high country alternative route between Melbourne and Sydney.
